Im looking at the Kona Caldera 2007 for long xc trials is this a good bike for me?

Possibly. Go and test it, and others of the same price.

The Caldera would make a good XC bike, although it is always worth testing over manufacturers bikes aswell.
You will find that the Kona frames are excellent fun to ride , although they do tend to down grade components.

I've got a 2004 Calder and it's been a great bike, the only major upgrade Ive made to it was to change to Fork it came with a Marzocchi EXR pro which was heavy and useless, changed it for a pair of MX comps and it made the bike ride a whole let better.
