I can't seem to find any on the internet. Specifically the Supersonic versions. Are they just a bit too new too be properly stocked or am I chasing an invisible product here?!

Ah cheers. They look like the perfect tyre for me as well. V lightweight yet with a decent set of knoblies on them. Just over 500g for a 2.4" tyre is pretty amazing.

Going to get some Stand No Tubes to prevent that problem. Should save about 400-500g me thinks.

I bought a continental vertical a while ago and went back to the shop for a refund after getting home and noticing it wasn't as wide as it was supost to be (2.3). In fact, it wasn't noticeably bigger than my previous 2.1 Ritchey z-max. You could tell it was a good tyre just by looking at it but, for a 2.3, it's a bit narrow and I wanted a tyre with a big volume for bump absorption. They say it's 57-559, so it's really a 2.2 if you do the calculations.

I'm just saying this so that you look carefully at its size when you get your hands on one of those. But if it is as light as you say it is and still has decent knobs, than a couple of milimeters less than stated won't be much of a problem.

Let us know when you test them

Not heard of Stand but if its anything like the Stans it should be good! :P

What inner tubes do you use that you are saving 500g?

Not just tubes my friend. I'm using tyres that currently come in at about 600g. So that's 200g saved from both tyres. Then two 150g (approx) inner tubes as well.

Possibly more latex may be needed. I think the biggest possitive from the stans is the decreased rolling resisitance rather than the weight saved from inner tube.

I would be a bit scared to run these Supersonic tyres at the kind of pressures I normally run, that's for sure.

Why aren't you on MSN? At work perhaps?

Have you considered the Speed King supersonic instead? They come in a 2.3?

Just haven't clicked sign in to be honest. I'm half on here, half messing with my car.
