I am having problems with my disc brakes, they are tektro Io on a GT Aggressor XC3, which I have only had a couple of days... The rear brake has lost alot of its stopping power, also the lever feels much slacker than when i bought it... does anyone have any ideas of what i need to do to fix it??

Thanks
Charlie...

    adjust the lever?

and take it back and get the shop to fix it if adjusting the lever does not work.

there should be an adjuster to move the lever in and out. Manual? ask the shop.

it is normally on the inside where the lever pushes on the piston rod.

After a little bit of fiddling i have adjusted the pad and its lots better... I think the pads may have oil or something on them, so i will buy some new ones....

    do not.

take it back and ask them to sort it if it is only days old as you say.
