Did anybody ride Polaris?

This is really just an excuse for me to test out the new forum....

Did anybody do it, how wet did you get and more importantly - how good was the riding?
Global TH1.5 Ti hardtail.

    I went. Riding was very 'rural'. Lots of field edges, bumpy pasture, some tracks and about 200yds of singletrack, Course setting was excellent in that it made the most of what was on offer.

    i was down to do it but i emailed the organiser for some info on the state of the land and heard nothing, that the weather and the fact there were no showers and we decided to go to afan in stead. had a great weekend.

    It's a two-day orienteering event.

    There are three held every year in the UK. One in the summer when competitors ride kitted out as per a day ride; two in the winter when competitors carrying camping gear for one overnight in the wilds.

    Was very highly regarded and heavily over-subscribed when it started in the early 90s. Don't think it carries the same kudos these days.
