I am going to drive down and leave the van in Yeading, Ealing,, or somewhere similar and pedal the rest of the way in, are there any quiet routes I can take and any suggestions for places to leave the van , public car parks. Cheers , :) .. see you there.

LCC have a ride into town leaving Ealing Townhall @ 10am. Its too late to register for the LCC viewing area but cannot see why you cannot at least tag along for the ride.

I was going to leave my bike at home and catch the bus or tube to Marble Arch.
Wouldn't a bike get in the way with all the crowds?

stay on the A40 and park near Baker Street or Lisson grove. No parking restrictions on Saturday, you can park on the single yellow lines......

Nice quick ride down to the event from there too.......

I live about three miles away from Whitehall etc, I was thinking of pootling along but wondering how far I would get before crowds etc and not sure what bike parking situation is like?

Plus I have no one to go with cos the bloke is playing in his darts league. Darts, I ask you...

Darts...... some ones gotta do it :?

I aint gonna worry about parking the bike security wise,, it is so tatty I think leaning on a tree with cheapo locks will suffice........ there will be far more desirable bait for the thieving scum that no doubt will be lurking........................

Blow what up ? the van ? ex Lewisham council...the terrorists are using jeeps and Mercs, the middle class crazies......................
Anyway .. I have decided to let the train take the strain.... standing all the way with all the events on this weekend but isnt much more expensive than the van and only a little walk across the park 8) .......... I can have a beer or two as well...sorted.
