FS: ENVE 45's on Chris King R45 hubs + Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SL

Postby Neil.S » Sat Jul 27, 2019 11:08 am

Sold my road bike (minus these wheels) so now these are up for sale.

A pair of ENVE 45mm carbon clinchers on black Chris King R45 hubs.
20/24 spoke
Only used on the good bike, in good weather.
11spd Campag freehub, although you can replace the freehub to an 11spd Shimano/SRAM (a bit pricey but you pay for quality).
Comes with a 'nearly new' set of ENVE brake pads.

Looking for a bargainous £700 for these beauties.

Next up, a pair of Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SL wheels. Shimano/SRAM freehub this time (sold the Campag freehub seperately).
EXCELLENT condition.
Comes with Mavic QR's and 'hardly-worn' SwissStop Exalith brake pads.

Looking for £525 for these.

Any idea (Via Strava?) of the mileage on the Enve wheels?

Is the braking surface coated at all, and what condition would you say it is in?

Moggy - sorry, nope, these are ENVE Classic rims, they're not tubeless. If they were I'd be asking a lot more for them.

Daniel B - Sorry mate, not on Strava so have no idea of mileage on these. The braking surface doesn't have a fancy coating. Condition? Absolutely mint! If you're anywhere near me I'd recommend viewing them to appreciate the condition they're in.

FWIW, I've sold and sent 4 or 5 pairs of wheels without any issue.

Proper wheelbox is required though, parcel force 48 hour is usually the best value, but ramping up insurance is what makes it considerably more expensive.

IIRC, I sold a pair of Zipp 30 wheels, chain, cassette, carbon shoes and handlebar, and managed to get them all in the one wheel box. Value was around £450, and I think it cost £28 to send with adequate cover.

I know it doesn't really take much to post but I have a job where I am on call a lot, don't have that much spare time, and dont really want to hunt around for a wheel box, parcel them up, take them to a post office then worry about them arriving safely when I can just arrange to meet up somewhere and hand them over.
Plus, people are handing over a lot of cash based on some pictures. If it was me I'd be wanting to hold the items in my hand and give them a good inspection before handing over hundreds of pounds.

Perhaps that's just me though?

Of course, if someone really wants them then can persuade me to post :D

There's some marks from the brake pads but wear wise I'd say hardly any.

Best wheels only used in best weather only.
