Started my first ever build tonight:

Bars, brifters, brakes, brake cables (internal) all sorted out. Bolted on the front mech and saddle too when I was at it. Rear mech arrives tomorrow so I can hopefully complete the build pretty soon, although I've never set up tubeless or set up derailleurs before.

Only cut the wrong length of outer once! Rite of passage I suppose.

Update: Tubeless is fun to set up over lunch isn't it? Eventually got there with just a track pump so I'm pretty happy with that. Discovered a puncture right away in a Schwalbe One I'd previously used with a tube for a couple of hundred miles so I know the sealant works too...

Cut the donut holder off the Cervelo. Only taken a year.

Plan to do the same on the CX tomorrow, and the mudguards on the Dolan.

Just fitted a new tube to my daughters mtb. 24" wheels, rigid tyre, no drama, no levers required.

87km in 2hrs30m followed by a stroll along the river, a triple roast lunch and three pints of Aspall's in the sun means my fettling plans for today didn't come to fruition.

Removed cassette on dying aksium, cleaned it to a reasonable standard, and put it on the brand new zonda. Brand new GP4S to replace Pro4 Endurance v2 with roughly 3200 & 4600 km.

Final spacer off the race bike. Taken me 5 years to get the back flexibility to get rid of it. #baero

Realised Ive done 590km on the new bike without giving it any oil to the chain.

Took the chain off, and threw it in a bottle of cleaner, where it will probably stay until Sunday.

Spend an hour sunday evening cleaning, re-oiling, checking everything over as a 6 week /600km post purchase type thing.

Lovely to ride first thing, silent, everything in perfect running order.

Until..

Not sure I'm ready to think about winter yet but autumn is definitely here. Suspect Saturday's ride in summer kit will be the last for a while, so I need to lube the summer bike then move it to the back of the heap.
Winter bike with guards for the next 6 months, so I'll be checking and lubricating that too.
