Re: Castelli Endurance bibs

just arrived... I just about fit in a large... not sure how 70+ kg people can fit in a medium... the large is way smaller than a Lusso medium I'm 1m76, 72kg, and an 84cm waist. The difference may be the shoulders vs hips weight/shape distribution. I have wider hips than average, and need 155mm sadd...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

Cyclesugery have got all their locks on sale but there's still an extra 20% off for today with the 'lockitup' code just got this gold rated kryptonite for £23. https://www.cyclesurgery.com/p/kryptonite-kryptolok-standard-u-lock-with-4-foot-kryptoflex-cable-P5214052.html?colour=124 I'm really confus...

Re: Your rants here.

Instructional videos on YouTube where a simple written description would do. Dropped my car off at the garage this morning; bike in the boot so I could cycle on to the office. Thought I'd waypoint the garage on my Garmin so I won't have any trouble finding it this evening, but didn't know the seque...

Re: BREXIT - Opinions Of Commuters From Leafy Surrey Are The Only Ones That Count. Apparently.

https://www.ft.com/content/58044bca-a49e-11e9-974c-ad1c6ab5efd1 To summarise, several commentators suggest that the most obvious route for a deal for Boris is to extend the transition period for several more years or to make it extendable, which has the following benefits: 1. More closely aligned w...

Re: TDF 2019: Stage 8, Mâcon > Saint-Étienne 13/07/2019 - 200 km *Spoilers*

The thing is, are TdG's numbers any better than, say, Rui Costa? Mind you, a WC, with World Tour 1 week GC wins. Or van Garderen? And look at how "little" van Garderen has won. Rick has a point, in that de Gendt is good enough all-around to be a potential GC rider. His ride on strava has a...

I did a little bit of parenting/indoctrination today. By the end of the stage both teeny tiny haggises were cheering for Thomas de Gendt. Very glad to see it go that way, after an unusually tight and thrilling finale.

On my Edge 1000: Settings 》 My Stats 》 Recovery Advisor 》 Enable. If you are wearing an HRM it will give you a recovery time of between 6hrs and 4days when you save a ride. No idea how useful it is but it's another metric. Cheers Aprilla, i'll check it out. I don't always use the HRM, but might giv...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

You seem to be distracted by the need to stick it to those nasty Tories/BoJo rather than answering the more fundamental point of whether an ambassador can function properly when the host country refuses to engage with him - for whatever reason. But has the White House refused to work with Darroch? ...

Sweet! I'm very tempted by that frame, but not seeing full build prices is a negative, and am not overly fond of the colours on offer. For how much do you reckon you can build it?

It's also a warning shot to all civil servants, who now know what sort of support to expect from Boris should he become PM.

Re: Bender's review site, roubaixcycling.cc (and general kit discussion)

Additionally the recently available Chpt3 shorts for £60 and £75 respectively, both with the Progetto X2 pad, are rather superb, if a little grey. The following is an honest question: what do you combine the £75 ones with? I find the hue of grey on the blue side, and don't go well with the acid gre...

Not liking the 2-way traffic on Tottenham Court Road now. Used to be 3 lanes of one way traffic, but now is 1 lane each way with no cycling provision (and the bus lane has gone). When did the change take place? Has it solved anything around Euston Rd.? Not sure exactly when it happened, some time w...

I personally find it incredibly contemptuous, a display of poor manners and, to make matters worse, in this case people certainly knew what they were voting for.

I'm in Avignon this week with the bike. Re: Thread to tell everyone what bike gear you've just bought !

Yet another one more lap 1.12 bibs from Chp3. Delivered yesterday, and used today on a 30mi ride to combat a migraine. Seem good, lovely pad, and a very peculiar lycra finish. The straps don't seem quite as good though. BTW, thanks to all who advised on sizing in the bargains thread. I got them in s...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

I totally hate close passes by motorcycles and mopeds. The sad thing is, I'm sure mopeds know how it feels to be bullied by heavier vehicles. Come on mate, I may actually try to avoid the pothole ahead, maybe give me more than a feet or two while overtaking at speed. This is particularly bad in Spa...
