Re: Aero frameset foe £1750 - suggestions?

I'd struggle to see past the Cipo... I think 90% of riders would struggle to see past the chiropractors with those frame geometries. Either that, or they'd undo any aero gains (and look like a chop), by adding about 50mm of spacers under the stem. Just like most aero bikes I see! Giant Propel owner...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

What sort of leg length are we talking for these? Are they like hot pants or just not the more common knee length shorts that are around now? My Core and Lightweight finish about 3 inches above my knee, decent length imo, good for the tan lines 8) I'd expect the PT to be the same with the long vers...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

Yeh I get that they're meant to be tight and will feel better on the bike but I mimicked the position and still felt restricted.

Will give these a go anyway.

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

How are the straps on those Rapha PT bibs?

I tried on some at the Kilver Court store and found their 'Kilver Court PT' to be very tight on the straps.

I've got Rapha Core and Lightweight ones though which are fine, these look like they have a bit more give.

If anyone is on the lookout for a 31.6mm carbon seatpost, CRC are knocking the Fizik Cyrano for £34.99 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/fizik-cyrano-r1-seatpost/rp-prod113646 Just bought this and it is a fair bit longer than the original on my bike (bianchi impulse) . Re: Aero bike.... what would you spend £5k on?

Colnago Concept frameset and build it up from there.

If you scour eBay they come up from Italy fairly regularly for around £2600.

Leaves £2400 for the rest of the build.

Re: Everesting Hardknott Pass

Real men would tackle Draycott Steep.   I'll be in the area next weekend... I'll have a go instead of doing Cheddar Gorge, which seems a bit easy and maybe better as a way back down to the levels. Starting from Draycott is the one that on the map comes up as New Road? Yep, that...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

Never underestimate the difference a good seatpost can make, swapping out my alu 3T for alu Zipp has been night and day, i was ready to stop riding my Scott SL before that change, also a good quality alu will be better than a cheap carbon hands down. How the hell is that supposed to work if seatpos...

Bianchi Aria?

http://road.cc/content/review/227913-bianchi-aria

Complete bike with Centaur or 105 for £2250, sell off the other bits to bring the cost down.

Looks great IMO and I say that as a Colnago man.

Re: Everesting Hardknott Pass

I rode Hardknott last week, once was enough for me let alone 28 times! I did it late afternoon, traffic was light but I did come across a few cars, the weather was also perfect for me, sunny, warm and a light tail wind. I'd imagine it soon gets pretty horrible up there in worse weather. I stayed in...
