Re: Too good to be true? IQ2 Power meter on Kickstarter - going to sell for as little as £130

These seem to be gathering some pace now, with advertising being pushed through Instagram etc.

Read the DCR write up (not really a review) and it seems there is still a lack of data out there from IQ2.

Re: broken hip recovery advice needed...............

Having read a little more are you all in the UK? My break was July 5th last year op 9th kicked out 11th. No follow ups no physio offered my own Dr sorted that. I'm starting to feel left out. I'm in the UK. I was operated on the same day as my fall and discharged 3 or 4 days later. Two weeks after t...

Re: Factory visit and purchase: DREAM chance

Colnago would be nice. Pinarello even better ;-) And Passoni raises the bar higher. Then you can go http://dreambike.com/pegoretti.htm and raise the roof. Sadly, you will only be able to get NOS. I'm pretty confident the Pegoretti brand will continue to make and paint frames, most likely led by Pie...

Re: Teaching them to ride

So - any tips? our two (twins) are 4 and a half, and have bikes (12" wheels, need something bigger really) and we're trying to teach them to ride without stabilisers. We have 'handles' for the bikes that enable us to hold them upright while they practice, but wanted to know if anyone has some ...

Re: Teaching them to ride

Great video thanks. MiniG is 2.5 and now has the saddle on his balance bike at its highest, so we need to go bike shopping for him before long. Then TinyG (14months) can have the balance bike in due course when shes a bit older! . We switched from a Hotwalk to a Frog43 just after my lad turned 3, s...

Re: Longest Climbs Eng, Scot, Wal??

This one links a few roads but I've ridden the route and it really does feel like you're climbing for as long as the plot suggests. Out of Neath take the B4287 to Cimla, then join the A4107 to Cymer, keep going through Abergwynfi then summit the Blwch. 15 miles, total ascent 2516ft, max altitude 174...

Re: Longest Climbs Eng, Scot, Wal??

Out of Chepstow, up Tutshill it climbs all the way to St Briavels, 7.4 miles, total ascent 1017ft, max altitude 781ft.

On the other side of the Wye Valley you can climb out from Monmouth on the B4293, peaks at Devauden, 9.3 miles, 1217ft ascent, max altitube 833ft.

Re: My Fleet - Colnago Master (retired), Colnago Dream, winter hack and Colnago CLX 3.0

Not sure why but I ordered this last week, just in time for TT season to end! One more local 10 left next week so it's just been set up by my mate. Giant Trinity Advanced with 5800 and other bits groupo, TRP brakes, Giant Contact base bar and extensions and my FFWD F6R (850g lighter than the Giant w...

Re: Building TT Bike with Road Frame (Dedacciai Atleta)

I'm in a similar position, been TT'ing the second half of this year and have been using my road bike set up for TT with extensions. The main issue is the seat tube angle, most road bikes are 72-73 degrees, TT bikes range from 75-80 degrees, giving you optimal position over the BB when in the TT posi...

Re: When is enough enough?

I don't believe prices have skyrocketed in the nearly 7 years I've been cycling...but choice has. Big time. Cheaper brands have had to up their game and yeah, there are more expensive options out there that nobody is forced into buying. Price changes have been very disproportionate at different pri...

Re: Thread to tell everyone what bargains you've spotted!

Did anyone actually find a bargain through the Strava Le Col voucher. I thought it was a £50 voucher, but it`s a discount if you spend £100. And they have nowt in stock except mega expensive stuff, unless someone knows different.? I applied it to the Colnago Owner's Dar, rrp £150 so got it for £100...

Re: Rapha bib short sizing

I'm pretty much the same measurements as you, maybe a bit taller at 6'1" and waist 33" but I find large in Rapha a perfect fit for me, I have Core, Lightweight and Pro Team, all large. As long as you don't use them you can try them on and send them back no issues. If you want a bit more re...

So... long straight slightly uphill drag for the finish. One for the big sprint trains. Except Quickstep may be a tiny bit knackered after the TTT. Others may have kept a little more in the tank. I'm boldly predicting "Not Gaviria" tomorrow. Both the Lottos were over a minute down, Soudal...

Re: Bont Vaypor + Issue

When I got my Vaypors one of my toes was rubbing, I thought it was the shoe but turns out a bit of glue from the front toe bumper had come through the vent and was sticking right into the end of my toe, clipped it out and all was good. Maybe worth having a look inside to see if it's something similar?
