Re: Ban SUVs

I've been in a Sierra (long time ago now) and were were going over Wrynose Pass one January. Light layer of snow but perfectly safe if you stay on the tracks if cars in the snow. Since we were going up hill three courtesy action would be for the very expensive and capable range rover to pull into th...

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

Typhoon has caused the England and Scotland games to be postponed. How will that effect their recovery for the first knockout games (assuming both get through)?

The later games won't be pushed back I assume so shorter recovery time?

Re: Ban SUVs

That quote sounded very American centred. European aucs are often car based. As mentioned above. A popular suv is the Ford kuga which is based on the Ford focus car. Basically a focus with a different body kit and a few other features. More is shared than is different. Including the driver aids whic...

Re: Ban SUVs

Everyone needs a car right! Interesting arguments here and partly right. Some of what I call "Greenpeace thinking" going on. By that i mean looking at a few examples and making out they're all the same. This lazy thinking means you end up with the likes of Greenpeace sticking anti c...

Re: British Wildlife Decline

Piece on local news about 4x4 caused erosion in lakes. Apparently it's causing damage to tracks that farmers/ landowners use to carry out their work. Cue an interview with someone from Kannku about commercial 4x4 safaris. I doubt it's the organised trips but the idiots doing it privately without lia...

Re: Donald Trump

"Clothes to match his face". Seriously? They don't have spray tan booths in prison. That'll wash off before the trial is over (assuming he doesn't get bail off course).

People with a few years of using dishwashers under their belt cannot wash dishes well by hand.

Re: Diane Abbot

Isn't England accounting for the greater part of the UK. Anyone know what percentage? The other counterpoint to the guardian piece is what percentage of people in Scotland were English and voting remain? Or Welsh in England voting leave? Are there any figures for actual nationality voting in the ref...

Re: BBC Bias

There's always been something called editorial decision. Basically a senior BBC current affairs official with years if experience in bbc and journalism takes a view on a topic. What they let through isn't censored but what they don't is. Where the cut off is actually located is clearly a subjective ...

Costing alligator filled moats or sticking official paperwork that Trump shredded that's officially against federal law? Which would you prefer if you've had many hundreds of thousands of dollars on degree and masters in the best ivy league institutions, possibly even being a Rhodes scholar and part...

Re: Diane Abbot

Why did she sit down? If she'd remained standing Raab would have been shown up instead. Low confidence? As said Raab stood up too soon but that didn't mean she should relinquish the floor. Lack of understanding of procedure after all her time in the commons? Why?

Re: BBC Bias

I do get impression that Laura Kuensberg the BBC political reporter is left wing biased. Except for the fact that she's been getting a whole load of stick from the left over her perceived free passes to Boris. And that she's been previously heavily criticised by the left for apparent bias against C...

Re: Donald Trump

Saw an opinion piece on fox news site saying trumps time is numbered.

Is fox news online different to the TV channel? It doesn't sound like what fox news channel would put out. Confused!
