Re: Hermosa Beach Ride??

I have not been on this particular ride. My family and I attend at least one group ride each summer. We enjoy them. It's a great way to meet new cycling friends. I enjoy sharing my love of bikes with my family.

Re: Training in bad weather...

Wear proper clothing, avoid getting too cold, avoid standing around in wet clothing when you're done, get warm ASAP. Nothing wrong with bad weather. Wet isn't an inherent problem. But does it make you tougher? ;-) Anything that makes a ride more challenging makes us tougher. I am one of those biker...

Wentwood50 Goshawk Challenge

For those of you not familiar with the Wentwood50 Goshawk Challenge, this is an XC mountain bike challenge held in the Wentwood Forest. Want to put your mountain bike training to the test? Re: Cannondale trail 20?

I would go with the isla Benin. I definitely would not want a multi-speed bike for a 4 year old. My daughter is six and does well with the isla Benin.

Helmet Cameras

I am looking at these helmet cameras. I want to be able to get video of some of the scenery when my family and I go to the Puddletown Forest route this spring. We are also planning on taking a tour on a beach route in the summer.

Re: WD-40?!?

I give my brakes a good rinse down with water after any trail ride. If they have been mucked up really good, I dismantle the brakes and clean each individual part with an automotive brake cleaner. Do not use unless you are dismantling the brakes and do not get it on the rubber seals. Make sure you r...

Blake Samson Tree Tyre Tap

Blake Samson has completed some magnificent jumps but this photo gallery of his tree tyre tap experience is awesome. Why he would want to purposely ride is bike into a tree, only he knows. This photo gallery shows the process he used to build the stunt and some unsuccessful trial runs before he acco...

Re: Islabike, Strider or firstBIKE for my boys balance bike?

We had a firstBIKE for my daughter. She was very excited about learning to ride and caught on very quickly. Phil D is correct you can save money by taking the pedals off a proper bike and adjusting the seat. If you have a babe to pass the balance bike down to though it is well worth the cost.

Re: Re:

Thanks for posting this! I have a dyspraxic daughter and have had the hardest time teaching her to ride. I was wrapping a scarf or towel around her to try and get her to keep her balance and it has not worked! Keep the 12 inch bikes. Take stabilisers off, take that bar you mention off, take pedals ...

Re: When your child refuses to ride

Maybe he just wasn't into it. I don't think we can always expect our kids to want to do what we want to do. Sometimes we have to go along with their interests. That's my opinion.

Re: Ebay

Just go ahead and start a dispute via ebay. It takes so darn long for them respond anyway you might as well get the process started. If you get your item in the meantime you can always cancel the dispute. If someone lists something as will be dispatched within 2 days, how long do you leave it before...

Re: Sports headphones

So you already have the ear buds with the plastic semi circle that fits over your ear? If so and that is what is sliding off, I would go with good ol' fashioned headphones. Sometimes simpler is better. Headphones aren't going to go anywhere.
