Re: Things you have recently learnt

I'm guessing the tripod space ship lemon squeezer things look better than they actually work... It's famous for not working. Just a pretty objet to have on your worktop. That's exactly how i'll pitch my Toaster to the Dragons Well dragons are one way to toast your bread but I'd rather not have one ...

Re: Vile left wing envy and hatred

It's becoming more daily mail territory than guardian these days. Perhaps torygraph is a happy medium for everyone to be happy? Or let's just whine about remoaners and the evil union like the daily Expressm does all the time. Is there any other news than Brexit? The Express doesn't think so. Or let'...

One more point, you do know that fighting for your families is literally what they'd have to do to survive in many cases. Is that o.k with you? Would you like to be in their situation?

Re: Refugees Channel crossing

Ok my point is that anti immigration arguments totally forget that it's just people. We're not talking about monsters we need to keep out. It's people like us. Even economic migrants are people like us. Why are they not fit to have the same western life as us? Perhaps people would benefit from a li...

Re: Vile left wing envy and hatred

Newspaper publishes something that people don't like. That's news? Today it's guardian, tomorrow mail (probably still something about immigrants) and the Express the day after (probably something to get at the remoaners). Perhaps one of their editorials will be so bad as to get criticism from all po...

Just admitted on a public forum that you've driven with an unsafe load! At least you won't get caught doing it by the police. :D Full disclosure here, I can't see how it wasn't my mistake so it seems right to own up to it. Luckily, no harm done to anything other than my own property and for that I'...

Re: Join the Labour Party and save your country!

At the height of prices my house was 3x what I paid for it around 2000. I still have one huge regret. I bought in an area I wanted to live not where other people wanted to live. That means I missed out becoming mortgage free after 2 years of home ownership! I'll explain, house prices tripled in my a...

That percentage calculations can be flipped and give the same answer 30% of 50 is the same as 50% of 30 I have GCSE maths, A level maths and a professional accounting qualification and had never been taught this. I did the same behind a lass with a large, practically mesh panel on her shorts. For the public good of course. Until I had to give up because I couldn't keep up! She was fair shifting, obviously a competitive roadie. Drafting behind her was hard work on a fully loaded commuter.

I disagree. Make your storage conform to insurance conditions then claim when or if it gets stolen. If necessary get all requirements spelt out clearly in a communication with your insurers. If they then try anything on you have their written communication giving the requirements and if you have evi...

The idea we’re “full” is bullshit. The idea we “can’t afford to help” is bullshit. The idea that they’re “someone else’s problem” is bullshit. The idea that refugees/immigration is a “problem” is bullshit. If your reaction to seeing people who are so desperate for a better life that they’re prepare...

You need to separate international norms for claiming asylum from the individual fleeing persecution. Just because safe politicians and diplomats decided international etiquette is to claim asylum at the first safe country doesn't mean any person ignoring that to get to where they feel safer or is a...

Her cycling partner in front also had the feature i think but I couldn't get past the lady so can't confirm that for sure. It's this looking at it that counts at mindfulness. Bunkum! I b...

Timeline not clear. Bolton offered to resign last night but got told to think about it and come back in the morning. Then he got fired by Twitter in the morning. Or He just got fired in the morning. Either way Bolton had views and opinions that clashed with Trump's for many years. Trump liked the gu...
