Re: Join the Labour Party and save your country!

Corbyn is not a leader, unless you count leading from the middle. All this time, Labour has been directionless on their policy for Brexit, with Corbyn waiting to see which way everyone wants to be led.

Re: "Smart" Motorways, Waste of Billions?

One thing that I've noticed during the long period of road works along the M6 (for both smart motorway installation and replacement of the central crash barriers) is that the use of average speed cameras has improved the flow of traffic significantly. Nobody hammers down the 50mph restriction zone a...

Someone deliberately changed the story after I posted it. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

Re: Changing cassette - will it throw out the indexing?

The indexing shouldn't be affected; after all, the cassettes are designed so that the sprockets are spaced at known locations away from the contact surface between the cassette body and the hub. You should be able to change between cassettes of the same manufacturer with impunity. Answer this: do pr...

Couldn't they have made a better replica and left the original in the museum? I doubt anyone in the audience would ever have know the difference.

All I get is Facebook crashing out.

If this refers to The Tour of Britain, it is not organised by British Cycling, it's organised by Sweetspot, Mick Bennett's company.

Re: Last Film Watched

The Millennium Trilogy: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, etc. Swedish version with dubbed English. I had watched part 1 before, but I hadn't continued, even though I liked it. I decided to give it another go the other day, and once you get past the first lesbian sex session the story gets strangely ...

Re: Multiple punctures, advice needed.

I had a spate of punctures earlier this year. I checked for the usual suspects, and found nothing each time. I then double checked the base tape, and found that it had become displaced slightly, allowing the slightest edge of spoke hole to become exposed. I used a screwdriver to re-centre the tape, ...

Re: Clothing for a Newbie

I wear shorts all time and can't say I ever had a bare back/butt. I ride for quite a long time and need at least one or two roadside pees, isn't a bib hard to get the tackle out? :) Lidl are doing some gear next week. The top is still stretchy enough to get it out over the top. Just make sure you'r...

Take the seatpost out and look down it with a torch. A gas pipe frame will have a straight weld seam. 531, being mandrel drawn, will be seamless.

Welcome aboard. Nice bike too, and you seem all set. One tip, however, you photo the bike from the other side, so we can see the good bits

Cheers.

Forgot to add latex gloves. Great for keeping hands clean whilst facing mechanical.
