Hop Pro II with SRAM PG950?

I heard a few people had problems with steel cassettes eating through the alu freehub body on Hope Pro II hubs, can anyone tell me if a SRAM PG950 cassette will be okay? I've checked the SRAM site and it doesn't state if the cassette is ALL steel, or it is just the cogs? Can anyone shed any light on...

How does the bike industry work?

Asked this over at UK MTB earlier but thought I'd post up here too... Basically I took a non-biker friend of mine shopping for a bike at the weekend, and he quizzed me over how the bike shops make money out of bikes, and for the life of me I couldn't give him a straight answer! So, how does the bike...

Bet DH course for beginners?

I have developed an interest in riding DH of late after riding XC for well over a year. Can anyone reccomend some DH courses that are suited to a beginner?

Any advice is much appreciated!

MTB hubs/rims on road frame for touring?

Got a mate flogging a Surly Pacer frame going cheap and I have some Mavic rims on XT hubs knocking about. Would the wheels fit a frame such as the Pacer? I have heard a few people talking of using XT hubs for a bit more strength, is this usual practice?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Did you compete last year? How did you find it?

I really want to do it but I am concerned my mates who are relatively new to MTBing (< 1 Year) might not to be up for the challenge.

Any tips on how to motivate them!?

One more Q, lights - which!?

I have an STP related question. In some of the MBUK articles you see Rob Warner thrashing an STP on singletrack, I was under the impression the STP was a pure jump bike? Therefore my my question is, is the STP singletrackable? Or is Mr. Warner jus popping out for a mess about for the photo in the ar...
