What's wrong with your bike then? Seeing as you went to Halfords? Nothing wrong with the bikes Halfords sell, people who arent 'up on the uptake' with bikes can still purchase a decent bike from there and use their LBS for servicing or learn themselves, dont let Halfords put you off not all outlets ...

Finish Line Lube around the top of the fork stanchions compress the fork, then wipe off excess.

Nice bike the geometry looks a bit like the Rockhopper, i'd higher the seat a little or you may get pains in your knees. :wink:

I couldnt spend £2k on a bike, is it just me? Not all Halford stores are bad....They sell good bikes at decents prices.....My Fury is A1 no problems at all....also buying off the internet when a beginner is a risk (no after sales or free service if anything goes wrong) so buy from LBS.

Paul Sh i would recommend a Carrera Fury for £499 from Halfords...Rockshox Tora 318 (better than the fork on the Giant) Sram components, 27 speed, Hydraulic Brakes and a superb double butted frame.....im sure Sonic or Big N Daft will be along to advise... :wink:

Ive been out on my ride and the duct tape worked! Fantastic....i ordered 64 new spokes from Wiggle but ive cancelled that order now....Duct Tape Rules!!! :wink:

Thanks for that.....got a great soldering kit off Ebay £6.89....bargain! Just hope the spokes hold together im off for a ride in half an hour! :lol:

I knew i could rely on you Sonic.....ive got Black Duct tape but i find that it comes off during a ride and i need to keep getting off the bike and re-applying it....you know what its like?? :wink:

Does it make a difference if you cut the spokes 3/4 up? Mine are not soldering together properly...im also using loctite?? :?
