Thanks guys

Sounds like VDO is a good choice then. I would go for the C3, but i'm now wondering whether I might as well go for the C2. As I don't think i'll be using the extra features that the C3 has, it does look better though and there isn't much difference in the price...

Thanks DFC. Considering the Strada Cadence as well.

VDO computers: wireless vs. wire, and cadence function

Hi I thinking of getting the VDO C4 DS or the VDO C3 DS , I'm also considering the wired versions; are the wireless versions of these reliable or would it be better to save money and gop with the wired versions. The other reason for going wireless is the option of adding cadence; does anyone know if...

yeah, sounds right, they only squeak in the wet, though they never seem to stop squeaking in the wet, which is why I was thinking of changing them. I think they're the MT53 or something like that. A note about the squeaking: when I had the Shimano basic disc brake, mine were squeaking all the time, ...

Ok thanks, one more thing, my rotors say resin pads only, can I disregard this?

Pete: I was assuming the rotors were the same size.

So there's no point to all the different rotors in a range at varying prices cos the cheapest rotor will do the same job?

Do more expensive brake rotors generally = better braking?

My bike has Shimano Deore disc brakes but has still got the basic Shimano disc rotors. Would the Deore rotors be better and why?

Thanks for your help.

Ok, Thanks. I'm guessing the oil will need replacing every occasionally. How often should this be done?

Ok, thanks. If I wanted to change the oil could my LBS do it or would I need to send it off somewhere like chainreactioncycles?

Can't get much lighter, i'm 6'2 72 kgs!!! So changing my weight isn't an option, lol.

Fork dive while front braking.

I've got a Tora 302 adjustable fork. I just want to know how much dive you should get when front braking or whether you shouldn't get any at all which would probably mean my forks need a service.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, i reckon it needs bleeding since the lever feels spongy. I'll take it to my LBS on saturday. At least the front one is ok. Bike is new so pads and disks should be fine.

whats the process for bleeding the brakes?

Tuning Shimano M485 hydraulic brakes

I know this is probably a dumb question to the experts on here but does anyone know how to get more bite out of these hydraulic brakes? My rear brakes don't have much bite at the moment but as these are my first hydraulic brakes i don't know how to sort it.

Bike tracking and tagging

I bought Datatag under the impression that it was a tracking device, i now know this is incorrect.

My question is, is there a relatively cheap (<£50) tracking device for bicycles? Failing that, is there a universal tagging device that the police use?

Thanks for your help.

I saw some Wellgo pedals in Halfords that looked a little like these. They were black but the middle was flatter than the ones shown in the link.

Anyone tried the DBX pedals?

Tbh I don't really need to know, I didn't realise that SRAM make non-series cassettes and I just wanted to know how you differentiate one SRAM cassette from another. Now I know why I couldn't.
